Chip’s concrete crew arrived today and began installing forms for the footing. What a great system! They use a series of 8” metal channels and then use smaller pieces of 1”x 8”s that tuck inside the channels to get the correct lengths for the forms. They go in quickly and by the end of the day, his crew of 4 has all the footings formed and all the steel tied ready for concrete. For us to have formed these footings and tied the steel would have taken twice as long. Goes to show why you pay an expert to come on the job.
