I spent the morning peeling logs with the draw knife. Most of the remaining logs are full length and so heavy, they are nearly impossible to turn on edge to peel the bark. We have two more logs to cut and then the balance of the logs will go up in one piece without cuts. I do what I can with the logs and then attend to cleaning up the entire lot and floor area.
Numerous piles of plastic tarps are strewn around the yard and Pat shows up just in time to help me cover lumber with tarps and put the remaining tarps inside. We finish cleaning up lumber scraps and straightening up for a full week ahead.
